ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
Strata Environmental has a position open for a mid-level environmental engineer/scientist. Duties will include Phase I environmental site assessments, preparation of environmental plans and reports (e.g., storm water pollution prevention plans, SPCC plans, California Business plans, EPCRA reports), and environmental compliance assistance and support to clients. Applicants must have a BS Degree in Engineering or Geology or a related discipline [advanced degree and professional certification (PE/PG) are preferred], and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Relevant experience includes conducting industrial environmental audits and transactional Phase I environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance projects, and working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, DOT, EPCRA, NEPA, TSCA, ISO 14001and ASTM 1527 requirements). 40-hour HAZWOPER training, environmental permitting, and design experience a plus. This position demands a team player with a high degree of self-motivation and who must be willing to travel. Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and computer skills are required. A proven track record of successful business development experience is a plus.
